BLKMORRIS and Ira G’s new mix, ‘Trapacana,’ makes you wonder why you aren’t poolside some where alienating everyone around you. Choke-full of the signature sounds (hi hats, Lex Luger style drum patterns) of ‘trap music,’ which is steadily gaining mainstream traction as of late. In a sea of acts attempting to ride the swelling wave of “TRAP MUSIC”, it is obvious Trapacana was put together by two people familiar with the genre and not just chasing the trend .

The duo’s knowledge of Atlanta rap music is most clear in their use samples; many of which remind me of the years when I first started partying in dark, sweaty rooms where people of all races, religious affiliations, social backgrounds lost their inhibitions to ratchet ass music. So if you want to get familiar with how we get down in Atlanta, Trapacana is a proper introduction.
