A few years back I would have never thought I’d be writing a post about transgender rapper or rap song . I’ve never been on any homophobic type bullshit or anything to that matter, its just in the past transgender or gay acts in rap were pretty much one dimensional; it was either some chick talking about eating pussy and fucking better than a nigga or some dude on some homothug fuckery, talking about fucking his favorite rappers . Mykki Blanco’s new single “Join My Militia” has pretty much dashed every preconceived notion I’ve ever had about gay rappers; shit I’m not even sure if Mykki is gay , I just know he’s dressed like a woman doing some real creepy shit, while creating some some solid music. This video is pretty gnarly and I’m doubting that many of mainstream America will be able to make it through it, but who cares, its one of the most creative videos in the rap genre in the long time.
